Description Position Overview: Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating assigned projects and human resources activities relating to the day-to-day operation of the human resources department.
Role and Responsibilities
• Assist Payroll Administrator in day to day payroll operations, including answering emails, contacting employees, running reports, ect
• Provides training and support to employees related to our HRIS system
• Researching issues related to policies, providing answers and directing employees to the appropriate resources
• Provides assistances with the recruitment and on-boarding of new staff, including ensuring consistency of background screening processes
• Verification of employment - Responds to employer and third party inquiries regarding current and former employees
• Maintains confidentiality related to personnel matters
• Responds to unemployment claims
• Reviews incoming new hire paperwork for accuracy and maintains electronic employee files
• Ensures quarterly drug free random testing and other drug testing is performed according to policy
• Conducts human resource internal audit to ensure compliance
• Prepares a variety of correspondence and reports related to human resources program, policies, and administrative tasks
• Participates in the annual benefit enrollment process
• Assisting in the organization on materials and data for employee consumption
Requirements Qualifications and Education Requirements
Required
• Minimum Associates Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related degree
• Proficiency utilizing technology and software programs
• Possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license

Other Requirements
• Must adhere to Agency Values and Principles
• Upholds the ethical standards of the Agency and 6B-1.001 Code of Ethics of the Education Profession in Florida.
• Follows policies and procedures of the Agency
• Must work evenings and weekends as required to fulfill workload requirements
