Description Position Overview: This position is responsible for coordinating business, reporting and accounting activities of assigned grants, fixed assets, inventory, NSLP, accounts payable/receivable and other accounting projects and functions to assure fiscal and regulatory accountability.

Role and Responsibilities
• Process Accounts Payable/Receivable transactions
• Coordinate National School Lunch Program (NSLP)
• Serve as liaison between grantors and agency
• Process monthly and quarterly claims and invoices; monitor accounts receivable/payable aging
• Prepares grant and contract financial reports accurately and timely.
• Submit required agency applications, reports, reviews and documents
• Assist centers in the development of specifications, the certification of vendors and other financial areas of the procurement and bid process
• Provide training, research and analysis to facilitate effective decision making
• Prepare reports, reviews and recommendations based on research and analysis
• Participate in conference calls and webinars, deliver continuous improvement training to agency staff regarding NSLP, IRS and other assigned projects
• Identify and communicate financial and compliance issues for assigned areas to Finance Director and executive management summarizing and explaining results as necessary
• Perform special accounting functions
• Perform accounting and reporting functions of property, plant and equipment, investments, insurance accounts, the THC entities
• Coordinate Inventory and Fixed Asset maintenance functions
• Perform monthly account and bank reconciliations and allocations to ensure accuracy of financial statements and tax and regulatory returns
• Support finance team by cross-training as necessary
• Support finance team by participating in the training of temporary staff or new hires as necessary
• Assist with special projects as requested by the Finance Director and PACE leadership team
• Assist in maintaining strong internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP, governmental and other regulators
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with Executive Directors, center personnel administrative office employees, finance department and administrative office co-workers, executive leadership team and all other constituencies. Replies courteously to requests for information timely and professionally using the most effective means of communication.
• Assist in preparation and performance of annual audit and tax return and other periodic regulatory requirements. Prepare requested schedules and documentation for auditors in a neat, concise and timely manner.
Requirements Qualifications and Education Requirements
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business
• 3 years experience in an accounting position
• In depth knowledge of accounting processing and reporting systems; prior Financial Edge experience a plus. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of relevant federal and state laws impacting not-for-profit fiscal compliance and reporting
• Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills; strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with ability to work effectively with a wide range of management, staff and external vendors; strong computer and internet research skills
• Current Florida driver’s license
