Job Description
The QA Engineer will be responsible for automated software testing of web based applications. They must be proficient in manual and automated testing using leading edge web based tools. They must understand the entire software development process and how it fits into the business approach and goals of the organization.
• Ability to manager multiple projects
• 5+ years of strong technical competency and experience with web applications, web services, Java, XML, Unit testing, shell-scripting and RDBMS is a must
• Experience writing and executing detailed test cases, test plans and test design documents
• Experience using data driven testing to validate results
• Experience using test automation tools like Rational
• Must have experience in debugging and troubleshooting problems
• Must have experience in a technical capacity and quality methodology/process/techniques in order to provide guidance and leadership
• Create and maintain project plans
• Proactive, strong communications and ability to work well across teams
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
• Vendor Management Experience – Off Shore Model
• Mortgage Experience - Correspondent
• 5 Years of experience in project management life cycle and/or system development life cycle
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills a must
• Excellent organizational skills a must
• Intermediate to advance knowledge in MS Office (Powerpoint, Visio, Excel, Word, Access, Project, etc)
• Strong Java and .Net experience
• Data analysis experience a plus
• Experience with Web services a plus
• SQL Server experience a plus
• XML/EDI experience a plus
