Description Multisorb Technologies is seeking a Second Shift Production Leader for its Buffalo, NY operations.

Commitment to Total Quality through implementation of the Quality Policy and participation in, or support of, teams and work groups. Understand and comply with all applicable requirements of the Company’s ISO/cGMP quality system as documented in the Quality Manual, System Procedures, and Work Instructions.
2. Reviews personnel requirements for the department, selects, hires, trains and terminates employees as necessary, according to Company policies and procedures.
3. Organizes the activities of all personnel in the department in such a manner as to obtain maximum utilization of personnel and equipment in a safe, quality manner.
4. Controls the discipline, conduct and attendance of production employees, according to Company policies and procedures, to maximize the contribution of each.
5. Keeps all personnel informed of their performance and assists in their development through timely, objective and meaningful performance evaluations.
6. Maintains department facilities and equipment in an efficient, orderly, clean and safe operating condition.
7. Purchases or requisitions necessary supplies and equipment and maintains liaison with Technical Buyer.
8. Maintains optimum inventory levels of all department supplies.
9. Coordinates monthly work-in-process inventory analysis.
10. Conducts safety training and ensures safe practices are consistently followed by all personnel.
11. Prevents defects and possible defects in workmanship, thus reducing scrap.
12. Provides support for the investigation of customer quality complaints.
13. Implements and monitors the weekly production plan to meet or exceed expected results.
14. Provides direction for shift employees while maintaining teamwork through coordination and communication among all shifts.
15. Works with Manufacturing Engineering to optimize methods and tooling.
16. Participates and/or leads problem solving work groups.
17. Monitors preparation and completion of shop orders and leads variance analysis, in compliance with established procedures.
18. Assists in the development, implementation and monitoring of cGMP or other regulatory practices in the organization.
19. Develop Quality Systems Procedures and Work Instructions as required.
20. Prepares Leadership Plan as required under Company policy.
21. Meets or exceeds Company or departmental goals for the shift.
22. Other duties as assigned.

PAY CLASSIFICATION Salaried G-10

WORKING CONDITIONS

Hours: Second Shift 4:00 pm to 12:00 am
Location: Plant and warehouse
Travel: Minimal

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Required: BS/BA Degree or Associates w/ job training equivalent to a 4 year degree
Preferred: BS/BA Degree in Management

Experience: Required: 1-3 years manufacturing supervision
Preferred: 3-5 years manufacturing supervision working
with automatic packaging equipment

Training Certifications: Required: None
Preferred: High Performance Work Teams
Problem Solving Basics
Statistical Process Control
Facilitator Training
