Corporate Communications and Investor Relations Internship
The Corporate Communications and Investor Relations (CC/IR) Intern will complete timely and relevant projects in support of Ionis’ strategic and tactical communications goals. Assist in the development of materials for use by the Corporate Communications
and Investor Relations team and management, including PowerPoint presentations, media relations content, summaries of analyst reports and press releases, as assigned. The CC/IR Intern will be involved in team and project meetings to learn and assist in the
planning, implementation, and tracking of specific corporate communications and investor relations projects. Work will be thoughtfully designed to address business priorities and to provide challenging growth opportunities, exposure to leadership, and a view
of the cross-functional nature of a full-time role in the corporate development department at Ionis, which includes corporate communications and investor relations, business development, alliance management, corporate intelligence and patient advocacy.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program and maintaining student status throughout the internship
• Will be willing to live in the San Diego area during time of the internship
• Ability to commit to a minimum 40-hour work week
• Ability to work independently and capable of taking initiative on specific projects
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Organized, self-starter with good problem-solving skills
• Creative and flexible
