||Make independent decisions on engineering problems and methods that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on engineering activities; use advanced techniques, modification and extension of theories, principles and practices to resolve
problems; utilize knowledge of building codes with emphasis on wind and seismic requirements; perform computer and detailed manual calculations to validate structural design; perform complex dynamic analysis using computer software like STAAD Pro, SAP and
utilize knowledge in structural dynamics; provide guidance and technical supervision to engineers and technical staff; ensure engineering designs are technically sound, but also practical and cost effective; carry out complex novel assignments requiring the
development of new or improved techniques and procedures; represents company in discussions with the client, joint venture partners, and government agencies like PHMSA, FERC and DOT as required; ensure codes, project specific design requirements, vendor data,
general arrangement are considered in engineering; coordinate with other engineering disciplines for vendor drawing reviews, checking of engineering calculations and construction drawings; function as a Lead Engineer; provide overall supervision to engineers
and designers; organize work to comply with project and IHI advance requirements; monitor engineering progress against project schedules and plans accordingly; prepare and updates the Department Design Basis for projects; prepare material requisitions and
technical input to subcontract packages; apply sound and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices; analyze and approve EA/QA’s; maintain a copy of the relevant sections of the project estimate and generates change notices; check drawings
for conformity with design requirements and stamp drawings as required; work with the schedule team to create a review project deliverable schedule and track department progress; and contribute to lessons learned on projects, providing input to Department
Quality Program, Standards and Procedures.
||REQUIREMENTS: Master’s, or foreign equivalent, in Civil Engineering plus experience in each of the following skills: 4 years of experience with national codes, such as IBC 2012, AISC (14th edition), ACI 318-11, ASCE 7-10, ASCE 37-14, and API standards;
4 years of experience with OSHA, NFPA 59A, 49 CFR 1963, and FERC compliance for design and construction of LNG facilities; 4 years of experience with STAAD Pro. and STAAD Foundation; 4 years of experience working as a liaison between company and the client,
vendors and the government agencies, including FERC, PHMSA, and DOT; 4 years of experience supervising High Value Centers; 4 years of experience with FERC deliverables and on-site FERC inspections during the construction and commissioning phase of a job and
the required corresponding coordination; PE license obtained by examination; 2 years of experience as a Lead Engineer; and 3 years of experience in construction site engineering.
