||Engineer III - Process
||BASIC FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the close supervision of more senior process department personnel, the Process Engineer III will perform process calculations for various types of process equipment on studies, proposals and projects.
This will involve the production of heat and material balances and the preparation of Process Flow Diagrams, Piping & Instrument Diagrams, and equipment and instrument data sheets.
The Process Engineer III should have a well-developed knowledge of instrumentation/process control philosophy and have sound knowledge of economic process design techniques, materials of construction and plant layout. The Process Engineer III should be able
to comfortably interface with engineers from other departments and identifying design issues to the Lead Process Engineer on the project.
The Process Engineer III shall be responsible for the timely execution of all assigned work, keeping within the established schedule and manhour budget. The Process Engineer III shall arrange for the checking and approval of calculations and other engineering
documents by more experienced process engineers.
The Process Engineer III is expected to be familiar with all aspects of the department’s function and responsibilities so he/she can assist in checking the work of and mentoring Process Engineer I and. Process Engineer II personnel. The Process Engineer III
shall be proficient with Word, Excel, Power Point and all computer software required for execution of department calculations and data sheets.
When necessary, the Process Engineer III is expected to participate in on-site activities (both domestic and overseas), including data gathering, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Bachelors Degree (minimum) in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Licensed Professional Engineer or EIT certificate preferred
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• 4 or more years of experience in chemical engineering design
• Good attitude, willingness to learn and diligent
• Good communication skills, both oral and written
• Willingness to travel
