Description The Safe at Home Program located in Dorchester is looking for Therapeutic Training & Support staff to provide individual and family based therapeutic services, crisis intervention and case management for defined program. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Essential Functions include:
•Meet with families of children 1-3 times weekly in community settings (mainly at home, but also at school, in hospitals, with peers, and in malls, parks, etc.) to provide therapeutic training and support services
•Children range in age from 3-21 and caseload is generally six to seven families
•Assist in initial assessment and evaluation of new clients and families
•Identify treatment needs and barriers to growth and development
•Work with supervisor and colleagues to design treatment plans that address and specify outcomes
•Collaborate with clients and family members to develop treatment objectives
•May be required to carry a mobile device
•Depending on the program, may be required to meet certain billing requirements on a weekly basis
•Perform other duties as assigned

Driving Requirements:
•May be required to operate a vehicle
•May be required to have a valid driver’s license and a “satisfactory” driving record
•May be required to have access to a personal vehicle for use during work hours
•May be required to use personal vehicle to transport clients on occasion if/when needed
•If required to transport clients, must maintain the minimum amounts of liability insurance as required by The Home and/or other regulatory requirements and vehicle registration must be current

Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s Degree required in Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Criminal Justice, or Psychology (varies by program)
•Experience with behavior management systems, treatment planning, crisis intervention, case management and providing individual, group and/or family therapy
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Knowledge of Department of Social Services and other local child and family advocate agencies
•Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer, with the ability to learn new software applications

Physical Requirements
Standard office work such as typing and telephone work. Varied work hours should be expected.
