Title DGR Assistant Manager

Description Supports the manager in overseeing team members involved in receiving and sorting donations, processing donations, retail sales floor activities, and janitorial work. Assists the manager with coachings, corrective actions, and performance evaluations. Ensures that World Class Customer Service is demonstrated by all team members. Trains all employees and volunteers on policies and procedures. Maintains accurate records of processing. Performs all duties of manager in his/her absence. Expected to fill in gaps where needed including but not limited to processing, donations, cashier, and janitorial duties.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Training of employees and volunteers; supervision of Retail Team Members, Processing Team Members, Donation Team Members, Janitors and DGR Team Leads; preparing paperwork and assisting with the hiring process.
Requirements Education and/or Experience:
Two (2) years of post-secondary education from an accredited college/university and one (1) years’ supervisory experience OR high school diploma/GED or equivalent and two (2) years’ experience in sales, retail or marketing and one (1) years’ supervisory experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Possess a privately owned vehicle and valid license OR must be able to access locations, possibly at a moment’s notice that may not be accessible by public transportation. Certified forklift operator, or be able to obtain certification within three (3) months of hire as required by location.

A background screening and reference checks will be completed as a condition of employment.
