Description Job Summary:
Medical Diagnostic Laboratories, LLC (MDL) is a CLIA certified clinical laboratory with multiple state licensing, specializing in state of the art, automated DNA based molecular analysis of a variety of chronic and infectious illnesses. The Oncoveda Cancer Research Center at MDL is looking for a motivated individual to work as a Research Associate. The successful candidate will contribute to the work of a multi-disciplinary community of scientists, supporting the development of novel therapeutics.
Responsibilities
• Develop, validate, and implement biochemical and cell based assays
• Develop and maintain cell lines
• Express and purify recombinant proteins
• Enter and analyze data using software such as Microsoft Excel and GraphPad Prism
• Write reports and presentations on research data
• Program and operate microplate readers

Requirements Job Requirements
• M.S. in biochemistry, molecular biology or related field with at least 1 year of laboratory experience in an academic or industrial setting.
• Experience with basic molecular and cell biology techniques such as PCR, RNA /DNA isolation, protein expression and purification, and Western blots.
• Experience with cell line maintenance and tissue culture is required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software
• Good communication skills
• Ability to effectively work independently with minimal direction
• Ability to work collaboratively within project teams
