Description Job Title: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

FLSA Status: Seasonal; Hourly, Exempt

Education and Qualifications:

Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED preferred. Current Pennsylvania State EMT and CPR certification required. Must be able to work in various weather conditions. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum or 25 lbs and a maximum of 200 lbs on occasion. Must be 18 years of age and have a valid PA Driver’s license to operate golf carts to comply with Child Labor Laws. Must know and abide by Pennsylvania State Department of Health/EMS Division, BLS Protocols. Must be able to communicate clearly and maintain and project a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times when interacting with co-workers and guests. Must have basic math skills and be able to quickly and accurately operate a cash register. Must maintain a well groomed appearance at all times. Must be able to work with others or independently. Must be able to keep accurate incident and injury documentation.

Job Summary:

Performs a variety of services for the guests including treating injuries that guests or employees sustain in keeping with techniques learned during training. Will also help maintain the infant care facility. This includes cleaning and stocking supplies. You will also assist guests who would like to rent wagons, adult strollers, and wheelchairs.

Reports to: First Aid Manager & First Aid Team Leader

Essential Functions:

1. Administer prescribed first aid treatment at the site of an emergency for injured individuals.

2. Abide by the Pennsylvania State Basic Life Support (BLS) Protocols.

3. Abide by the operation policies and procedures of the department.

4. Adhere to Federal and State Laws and company policies.

5. Provide excellent guest service and positive guest relations with internal and external guests.

6. Assist guest with the mobility program rentals.

7. Maintains the facilities and equipment in the First Aid Department. This includes, but is not limited to the operation and inspection of department equipment, and cleanliness.

8. Abide by the cash management policy within the department.

9. Adhere to and promote safety policies and programs within the company. Report any safety issues to the Department Director or VP if the director is not available.

10. Address and handle customer issues and complaints when necessary.

Other Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and protect employee, customer, and consumer confidentiality.

2. Report to and from work at assigned time.

3. Complete other duties as assigned.

4. Must be honest and reliable.

5. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Provide help and support to co-workers on an ongoing basis.

6. Adhere to dress code policy.

7. Maintain an organized department and work environment.
