Description Job Title: Games Department Team Leader

FLSA Status: Seasonal; Hourly, Exempt

Pay Rate: $8.25/hr.

Education and Qualifications:

Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older to comply with child labor laws. Ability to perform basic math and count money. A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience within the department is strongly preferred. Management and/or Leadership experience is preferred, but not required. Must be organized, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and have the ability to follow and enforce policies and procedures. Must be committed to providing excellent customer service.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Programs. Must be able to maintain and project a positive attitude and a professional demeanor at all times. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 25lbs and a maximum of 50lbs on occasion. Interaction in the workplace is necessary to interact with team members, co-workers, and guests.


Position Summary:

Oversees all department set up for business operations. Orders supplies for department with department manager approval. Monitors break times and assigns break times to staff according to child labor laws. Completes scheduling only in the absence of the department manager according to child labor laws. Monitors staff daily during operations to ensure department policies and procedures are being followed. Provides guidance and training to staff when needed. Handles cash in the absence of the department manager. Reports any employee issues to the department manager. Resolve customer complaints in the absence of the manager, or access department director if necessary. No employee hiring or firing as a Team Leader; however, may provide input as requested.

Responsible for: Supervision of Games Department Staff

Essential Job Functions:

1. Oversees the team members, and the daily operations of the department.

2. Acts in place of the Department Manager when the Department Manager is off duty or not present.

3. Reports day to day employee concerns, resignations, policy/procedure violations, issues, etc. to the Department Manager for action and follow through

4. Provide team member’s guidance and training on proper department policies and procedures.

5. Assists in maintaining employee morale and overall positivity while adhering to the standards, clear expectations, and limitations between team members.

6. Assists in maintains the equipment in the Games Department. This includes, but is not limited to the operation of each game, minor repairs, troubleshooting problems, and cleanliness.

7. Assists the Department Manager to ensure that team members understand and abide by the cash management policy within the department. Investigate any discrepancies.

8. Assists in completion of schedules for team members through the When to Work scheduling system according to Child Labor Laws.

9. Review and monitor team member’s time sheets on the Ultipro system for payroll in the absence of the Department Manager.

10. Enforces adherence of Federal and State Laws, company polices, and department procedures with the team members.

11. Adhere to and promote safety policies and programs within the company. Report any safety issues to the Department Manager or Department Director.

12. Address and handle customer issues and complaints when necessary.

13. Assists the Department Director & Department Manager with decisions on prize choices, placement, and game displays.

14. Assists the Department Manager with work within the Center Edge System to devise purchase orders, complete inventory receipts in conjunction with the vendor invoice, and review daily sales.

15. Assist the Department Manager with ensuring proper inventory controls including, but not limited to, completing the sales vs inventory worksheet, conducting audits, monitoring inventory movement, and investigating discrepancies.

2. Report to and from work at assigned time.

3. Complete other duties as assigned.

4. Must be honest and reliable.

5. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Provide help and support to co-workers on an ongoing basis.

7. Maintain an organized department and work environment.
