Description Job Title: Operations Team Leader

FLSA Status: Seasonal ; Hourly, Exempt


Education and Qualifications:

Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED preferred. Ability to perform basic math and count cash. A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience within the department is strongly preferred. Management and/or Leadership experience is preferred, but not required. Must be organized, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and have the ability to follow and enforce policies and procedures.

Must be committed to providing excellent customer service. Must have a valid PA Driver’s License in order to operate golf carts and other company vehicles. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age to be able to comply with child labor laws.

Must be able to start work as early as 5am. Must be able to work in various weather conditions and be able to withstand 0 degree temperatures for moderate periods of time when working in freezers. Must maintain a professional image at all times. Must be able to adjust to working efficiently in a fast paced environment during busy times. Must be able to work at least 2 weekends per month May through the end of September.

Hours: A typical work week consists of 5-9 hours a day 6 days a week.

Job Summary:

Oversees all department set up for business operations. Monitors break times and assigns break times to staff according to child labor laws. Completes scheduling only in the absence of the department manager according to child labor laws. Monitors staff daily during operations to ensure department policies and procedures are being followed. Provides guidance and training to staff when needed. Handles cash in the absence of the department manager. Resolves customer complaints in the absence of the manager, or accesses department director if necessary. No employee hiring or firing as a Team Leader; however may provide input as requested.

Responsible for: Operations Staff

Essential Functions:

1. Oversee operation of the entire department.

2. Establish job assignments for all staff and monitor for follow through to maintain cleanliness of the entire facility.

3. Complete and document training of employees on proper department policies and procedures.

4. Maintain employee morale and overall positivity while establishing standards, clear expectations, coaching, and limitations between his or herself and the employees they oversee.

5. Manage staffing levels during peak and slow times.

6. Delegates errand calls that come in on department cell phone.

7. Assist guests with any issues or questions they may have providing excellent guest service.

8. Abides by and ensures compliance of company and department policies and procedures. Document issues with compliance and maintain record of issues.

9. Complete employee disciplinary actions when warranted according to company and department policies and procedures.

10. Unloads deliveries and stocks food stand and vending locations in the absence of the Warehouse Coordinator or Stocking Team Member staff.

11. Operate golf carts and other equipment such as dolly carts and platform trucks according to company procedure.

8. Must communicate efficiently using a two way radio and telephone.

9. Maintain an organized department and work environment.

10. Complete other duties as assigned
