Description Educations & Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old. Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required. A minimum of 2 – 5 years of experience within the department and previous management and/or leadership experience is strongly preferred. Must have ability to perform basic math and count, be organized, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and have the ability to follow and enforce policies and procedures.
Requirements Summary:
Responsible for the oversight of department operations to include: guidance and training of new and existing staff, organization of work areas, adherence to department policies and procedures, adherence to child labor laws, job assignments, and address and resolve employee and guest issues. Assists department management team with scheduling, staffing, and time sheet review/approval as directed. Responsible for leading staff in the daily operation of the Rides Department.

Essential Functions:
• Oversee operations of the entire department in accordance with child labor laws.
• Set up department for daily operations according to department procedure in absence of department team leaders.
• Abide by and enforces all company and department policies and procedures, documenting any issues with compliance.
• Manage staffing levels during peak and slow times.
• Communicate with Ride Administrative Manager to schedule ride group trainings for new and existing staff.
• Review completed documentation of all employee training to ensure quality assurance and compliance with department training plan and department and company policy and procedure.
• Assist in maintaining proper organization of all department and team member files/paperwork, as directed.
• Provide coaching and support to all department staff with minimal supervision and provide guidance and direction to Department Team Leaders to maintain operations in manager’s absence.
• Completes disciplinary action per company and department policies and procedures for staff.
• Completes performance reviews for all seasonal department staff members annually.
• Ensure that standard operating procedures are followed during park operations, ride downtime or emergency situations to ensure the safety of all guests and employees.
• Provides excellent guest service by assisting guests with issues and questions.
• Assist with scheduling and approval of electronic timesheets for payroll, as directed.
• Operate rides and give breaks to other employees when needed.
• Measure guests at official height measurement station and inform them about height category program.
• Must work in various weather and environmental conditions including but not limited to direct or indirect sunlight, heat, humidity, rain, hail and cold.
Other Responsibilities:
• Maintain and protect employee, customer, and consumer confidentiality.
• Report to and from work at assigned time.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Must be honest and reliable.
• Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Provide help and support to co-workers on an ongoing basis.
• Adhere to dress code policy.
