Description Job Title: Security Officer

FLSA Status: Seasonal ; Hourly, Exempt

Education and Qualifications:

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age to work shifts longer than 8 hours and comply with child labor laws. Must have a valid PA Driver’s license. Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required. Security experience is preferred but not required. Must have a positive attitude and be able to work in a Team atmosphere.

Must be able to work well in stressful situations and always maintain a professional image. Must be organized, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and have the ability to follow and enforce policies and procedures.

Hours: A typical work week consists of 5-8 hours a day 5-6 days per week.

Reports to: Security Manager and Team Leader

Responsible for: N/A

Physical Requirements: Contact Human Resources

Essential Functions:

1. Ensure extraordinary guest service by providing positive interactions with guests and fellow Team Members in a friendly and courteous manner.

2. Complete patrol rounds through the Park and also work assigned areas as needed to enforce Park rules and regulations.

3. Maintain current knowledge of all Park rules and regulations and how to enforce them.

4. Complete money transports to and from the Office.

5. Work the side parking booth by politely directing guest’s appropriate areas to park.

6. Respond to all distress calls or emergency calls and secure the scene.

7. Assist lost guests in reuniting them with their party safely.

8. Report any damage or unsafe conditions to the Manager or Team Leader on duty.

9. Report any major issues directly to the department Director or VP/President if department manager is not present.

10. Answer guest questions or find out answers for them when possible.

Other Responsibilities:

1. Must report to and from work at assigned time.

2. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

3. Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and adhere to dress code policy.

4. Must provide superior customer service and assist guests when needed.

5. Maintain and protect employee, customer, and consumer confidentiality.

6. Provide help and support to co-workers on an ongoing basis.

7. Must be honest, reliable and able to work in a team atmosphere.

8. Must communicate efficiently using a two way radio and telephone.

9. Complete other duties as assigned.
