Title Clean Up Manager - Waterside - Seasonal

Description Summary: The Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Waterpark Maintenance Department including but not limited to: scheduling, training new and existing staff, ensuring adherence to department policies and procedures, payroll timesheet compliance, monitoring break times/child labor laws, and job assignments. Must work with Waterpark Facilities Manager to hire staff and address employee issues.

Essential Functions:
• Oversees Waterside Clean Up Staff and operations for entire department.
• Complete and post department staff schedules at least two weeks in advance and according to child labor laws.
• Complete employee disciplinary actions when warranted according to company and department policies and procedures.
• Train employees and Team Leaders on proper department policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance of company and department policies and procedures.
• Ensure all child labor laws are enforced with scheduling, break schedules, and duties allowable by age.
• Train and re-train staff on company and department policies and procedures when necessary.
• Maintain accurate attendance, discipline, training and schedule records within the department.
• Review and monitor timesheets for payroll; submit to payroll by 9 AM on Mondays.
• Establish cleaning regimens for department and monitor for follow through.
• Set up department for daily operations to begin.
• Report any major issues/problems to Waterpark Facilities Manager, Director or VP of Operations, if Director not available.
• Process resignations and/or terminations with Waterpark Facilities Manager, Director or VP of Operations.
• Process all accident reports and ensure Waterpark Facilities Manager or Director is notified either in person or by phone.
• Fill in for staff as needed.
• Assist staff as needed with their duties and responsibilities.
• Complete minor repairs as assigned.
• Ensure all hosing is completed properly to department expectations/standards.
• Ensure all flowers are watered/weeded.
• Ensure all hedges are trimmed.
• Work in various weather and environmental conditions including but not limited to direct or indirect sunlight, heat, humidity, rain, hail, cold.

Other Responsibilities:
• Maintain and protect employee, customer, and consumer confidentiality.
• Report to and from work at assigned time.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Must be honest and reliable.
• Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Provide help and support to co-workers on an ongoing basis.
• Adhere to dress code policy.
Requirements Educations & Qualifications: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience within the department and management and/or leadership experience is strongly preferred. Must be able to use assorted hand tools to do very minor repairs. Must be able to use rakes, shovels, hoes, and brooms. Must be organized, have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, and have the ability to follow and enforce policies and procedures. Must be committed to providing excellent customer service. Must have basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Must work weekends and holidays.
