Title Maintenance Tech III-DAP

Description Summary: This full-time, year round position will provide a variety of routine park maintenance including but not limited to equipment, buildings, and grounds. Perform ride inspections according to PA state licensure guidelines. Perform maintenance and repair duties in area of expertise as needed. Teach and assist lower level maintenance staff with skilled areas of expertise.

Essential Functions:
• Perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and installation tasks on the physical park equipment and machinery according to standards.
• Respond to correct equipment stoppage, mechanical breakdown, troubleshoot when necessary.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on park equipment and machinery.
• Perform ride safety inspections according to PA Ride Inspector guidelines.
o Submit required documentation to the state.
o Maintain inspection records.
o Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly inspections.
• Complete assignments in area(s) of expertise.
o Welding - Stick, mig, tig welding
o Plumbing - Water and sanitary sewer lines
o Electrical - AC/DC
o Pneumatics
o Hydraulics
o Other - Small engine
• Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks.
• Serve as a teacher, trainer, and/or mentor to lower level maintenance staff.
o Train other staff in skilled area of expertise.
o Provide training and guidance to new and/or inexperience staff in area of expertise.
• Use/Operate hand tools and power tools.
o Wrenches, Screwdrivers, Ratchets, and Sockets
o Grinders, Drills, and Sanders
o Construction equipment (i.e. dump trucks, skid steers, man lifts)
• Maintain clean work area.

Other Responsibilities:
• Maintain and protect employee, customer, and consumer confidentiality.
• Report to and from work at assigned time.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Must be honest and reliable.
• Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Provide help and support to co-workers on an ongoing basis.
• Practice and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Requirements Educations & Qualifications: Certificate of competence and/or degree with two years of experience in one or more of the following areas is required: mechanics (auto or industrial), welding, pneumatics, electrical work, small engine repair, plumbing, auto body, or related field. PA Ride Inspector License preferred and must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Must be able to lift 75 to 100 pounds. Ability to operate equipment such as lawn equipment, construction equipment (i.e. dump trucks, skid steers, man lifts), and power tools is preferred. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, and climb for extended periods of time. Required to work outdoors in various weather conditions including, high and low temperatures, rain, and snow. Must be able to read and review written communication, blue prints, etc. and to view products for proper size and color. Must be able to hear and identify normal and abnormal equipment operating sounds. Must have a valid PA driver’s license. This job will be filled as a level 3 or 4, depending upon the successful candidate’s competencies, education and experience. Typically requires degree and/or certification in one of the aforementioned fields plus 2 years of experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs.
