Title Aquatics Team Leader - Seasonal

Description Summary:
The Aquatics Team Leader for will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Aquatics Department including but not limited to monitoring break times/child labor laws, documentation and resolving guest complaints in a quick and efficient manner. Team Leader is required to remain at his/her assigned zone at all times during daily operations; fully responsible for lifeguards and guests. Periodically, the Team Leader will be required to fulfill lifeguard duties and assist with in-service trainings.

Essential Functions:
• Anticipate, recognize, and respond to emergencies.
• Assist in the daily operation of the waterpark including staff oversight.
o Strictly maintain regulations set by Ellis and Associates.
o Monitor staff performance and behavior through daily quick notes.
o Perform opening and closing duties as outlined in the department manual.
o Assist with VAT testing and documentation within your assigned zone.
o Report and record tardiness, company/department violations, and /or child labor law violations to on-duty Aquatics Manager.
o Prepare Five Points of the Day and conduct daily staff meetings.
o Ensure all positions are covered during operational times. Rotations must always be efficient.
o Monitor staff breaks, ensuring no child labor laws are violated.
o Report disciplinary issues and department/company violations to Aquatic Manager(s).
o Assist lifeguards as needed.
• Assist with weekly in-services.
o Make recommendations to the Department Director or Aquatics Instructor on training topics.
o Help with teaching and training throughout the in-service.
• Monitor water quality, and notify Department Directors immediately of any concerns.
• Communicate effectively by giving instruction and feedback to staff.
• Provide friendly, polite, and courteous service to all park guests.
• Abide by all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Department Manual.
• Work in various weather and environmental conditions including but not limited to direct or indirect sunlight, heat, humidity, rain, hail, cold.

Other Responsibilities:
• Maintain and protect employee, customer, and consumer confidentiality.
• Report to and from work at assigned time.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Must be honest and reliable.
• Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Provide help and support to co-workers on an ongoing basis.
• Adhere to dress code policy.
Requirements Education & Qualifications:

Applicants must be 18 years old and possess a valid Ellis and Associates Special Facilities Lifeguard License. A high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 1 year of experience within the department and previous management and/or leadership experience is preferred. Must have basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
