Description Burrow Global Services is seeking qualified candidates for a Construction Manager for assignment in our client’s facility in the Newark, Ohio. We are offering full benefits. The successful candidate should have the proven ability to meet all of the following criteria & requirements.

POSITION: Construction Manager
Location: Chemical Facility, Hebron, Ohio
Duration: Estimated February 2019 to October 2020 (10 hours/day, 50/hours/week)
1. BS of Engineering degree with a minimum 10 years’ experience as project/construction or turnaround management or High School graduate with equivalent minimum of 20 years’ in Industrial Engineering/Construction/Turnaround activities.
2. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
3. Strong supervisory management skills.
4. People development skills – ability to assist in the recruitment and development of all Construction Management Services staffing requirements.
5. Teamwork – ability to work with senior engineering management, project management and all other engineering discipline leads to optimize capital projects

1. Multiple discipline Construction Manager to manage a large Brownfield Capital Project.

2. Manage the interface between engineering, design, production, and maintenance groups for capital project kick off meetings, progress meetings, and early development of major capital projects.

3. Accountable for supplying, coordinating and managing construction & turnaround support resources and services for a large capital project in New Martinsville, West Virginia facility.

4. Responsible for HSEQ guidelines and implementation with all external contractors, subcontractors and capital contractors to meet and exceed the compliance requirements.

5. Management of the field implementation of a capital project by administering the use of general discipline specific & specialty contractor for planning, execution and closeout.

6. Manage the implementation or constructability analysis and reviews for a capital project in FEL 2, FEL 3 and Detail Engineering to confirm that the scope of work and proper information is available for estimating use before moving forward with execution with the Project Management.

7. Responsible and accountable for controlling and managing the field execution, cost, schedule and quality activities to meet the Project Management requirements and Covestro Standards & Guidelines.

8. Responsible for management of compliance of schedule and cost of all field executed work by contractors and subcontractors.

9. A Team leader for safety and quality for construction management team, employees and contractor companies.

10. Provide expertise in construction field activities upfront on projects for safety, cost, schedule and execution prior to AR approval.

11. Make day to day decisions on issues in the field based on facts to resolve issues in a timely manner and assist construction managers on making critical decisions.

12. Attend Pre Bid meetings to represent Safety and Quality of construction requirements for Covestro Construction Management and to insure all critical items are covered properly.

13. Conduct Constructability Analysis and Review reports needed for a Capital Project for AR folder structures to ensure complete and accurate information is provided.

14. Work with Procurement on construction contractors needed for a Capital Project for our New Martinsville Facility based on the scope, complexity and timing.

15. Monitor field progress, schedule adherence and cost compliance for field execution of a capital project that have been assigned to report on a monthly basis.

16. Participate in group settings as a team leader and member.

17. Be self-motivated to proceed with work and assignments as delegated.

18. Have the ability to delegate and monitor that progress and compliance of work assigned to employees.

19. Excellent organizations skills required and to be able to train other in these skills required for construction management

20. Promote and lead a team environment for internal and external employees and companies.

21. Always be proactive with team members to provide the required documents and commitments.

22. Provide support and leadership as required to accomplish goals that have been set.
23. Be accountable and responsible for projects and decisions made
