POSITION TITLE: Account Executive, Strategic Marketing

DEPARTMENT: Marketing-Communications

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for developing marketing strategies and ensuring the execution of marketing deliverables for strategic alliances, ministry partners and internal sales departments.

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Researches and plans marketing solutions and tactics that are relevant, well organized, clear and effective for maximizing the marketing potential of internal departments as well as external alliances.
Collaborates with internal contacts and representatives from partner organizations to clarify objectives, elicit needs, and gain insight for developing marketing plans and marketing activities based on shared goals.
Identifies problems and issues of varying complexities, to find effective solutions within understood parameters.
Contributes to creative work by gathering facts, communicating research, and developing unique selling propositions.
Serves as a marketing program champion for partnerships and strategic alliances, and looks for new and innovative ways to link objectives with other corporate, marketing, and sales initiatives.
Understands and addresses through marketing efforts the differing roles and objectives of internal departments and their products as well as external partner organizations (i.e. national denomination officers, regional denomination leaders, and ministry partner members/churches).
Facilitates the execution of deliverables and tracks services provided.
Monitors and encourages partner participation and contributions as stipulated in legal agreements.
Creates repeatable work processes, tracking tools, and communication methods for effective and efficient work procedures.
Analyzes the effectiveness of marketing activities and the participation level and contributions of individual partners. Makes recommendations for continuous improvement.
Assesses the priority of each project to help set appropriate deadlines.
Works collaboratively with management and other members of the marketing department to meet department standards and task deadlines.
Maintains effectiveness in reaching set goals by adapting to constantly changing circumstances, tasks, responsibilities, colleagues, and the corporate environment.
Communicates professionally to increase understanding and decrease instances of misunderstanding.
Provides written reports and updates to management and co-workers as required.
Displays diligence in acquiring and applying functional knowledge in order to maintain expertise and serve as a resource to others in the department so as to heighten overall department excellence.
Occasional travel may be required for training, conventions and partner relationships.
Complete other projects as assigned.

Because the company’s niche is the church and related ministries market, and because effective service requires a thorough understanding of this market, persons in this position must be familiar with church operations, and must conduct themselves in a manner that will neither alienate nor offend persons within this target niche.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Must have a Bachelor Degree or educational equivalent.
Must have three or more years of experience in marketing, sales, or a related field.
Degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field is desired.
Experience as an account executive within an advertising agency or product manager within a corporate marketing department is desired.
Experience in insurance marketing a bonus.
