Summary:  

This position will support ISCR program implementation efforts to ensure participants reach optimal success with implementation of identified enhanced recovery pathways and increased compliance to specified ISCR process measure and outcomes. This individual will primarily be responsible for managing projects and activities in the area of program participation impact and sustainability efforts.  The project manager will work with the program manager to help scope out projects and ensure project deliverables are properly specified and met.

This position is grant funded through approximately September 2021. This position will include all benefits available to existing regular full-time employees of the American College of Surgeons.

This Exempt position will report to the Program Manager, Improving Surgical Care and Recovery in the Division of Research and Optimal Patient Care.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Project management of various ISCR projects involving coordination of multiple staff and multiple departments. This can include the creation of project plans and various other types of documentation. This individual will run meetings for the project team and will be responsible for tracking the progress of the projects and keeping all stakeholders informed of status.
  • Management & implementation of projects and tools related to program data abstraction and data entry efforts, process measure compliance feedback and support, registry testing and support.Expected to be the project leader on special projects and act independently to manage these projects.When appropriate, produce the work product necessary to move project to the next level. This includes the development and maintenance of a project plan and management of a project’s day-to-day tasks.
  • Responsible for the development of project related promotional and informational materials, and blast email announcements. Responsible for developing recruitment plans and integrated marketing plans to support recruitment efforts for the launch of new program cohorts. This includes maintaining recruitment webinar schedules and working with identified coordinated entities to ensure program messaging reaches intended interested hospitals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ project management experience required.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Strong experience working with EHRs, health care databases, and/or customer relationship software preferred.
  • Understanding of and ability to analyze business information materials, customer needs, competitive actions, and business trends.
  • Understanding of and ability to work with management and vendors to incorporate program goals into deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) necessary to effectively interact with all levels of organization.
  • Extensive experience with current Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in Associations, professional services, healthcare, and/or education desired.
