a.i. solutions is seeking a team-oriented Emergency Management Specialist who will be self-motivated, creative, analytical, and work to significantly contribute as a member of our cross functional team. The successful candidate will provide the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) with continuity of operations (COOP), risk management, and emergency preparedness support that always meets and usually exceeds customer expectations. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to embrace the a.i. solutions mission and work to continually exceed the expectations of our customers.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Apply the tenants and best practices of COOP, risk management and emergency preparedness to perform analysis of customer capabilities, recommend solutions to overcome gaps, and create accompanying deliverables to meet NASA expectations and Agency/Federal requirements
  • Support incident management and implementation of emergency plans during duty hours and be on call to perform this function during non-duty hours
  • Support implementation of COOP plans. Should a continuity event occur, this position could require working from an alternate operating facility outside of the National Capital Region for up to 30 days
  • Develop and deliver briefings, presentations, trainings, tests, and exercises
  • Perform other related tasks and special projects as required and assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of applicable experience
  • Experience developing COOP and emergency plans, and a firm understanding of the Federal Continuity Directives, National Response Framework, and National Incident Management System
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance

Desired Background:

  • Experience working in support of Federal government clients.
  • Professional certifications: CEM/AEM, MEP, CBCP/ABCP, PMP/CAPM
  • Experience implementing new initiatives, strong customer service skills, and public speaking
  • Completed HSEEP, ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800 series
  • Ability to quickly connect in-person and in writing, and to actively listen and perceive the needs, values or opinions of others
  • Demonstrated leadership accomplishments professionally and personally
  • Proactivity in identifying and addressing challenges to include innovations that result in positive organizational impact
  • Active Top Secret clearance
