a.i. solutions is seeking a highly motivated systems engineer with a passion for aerospace to be a member of the team supporting the Space Network.  This individual will have excellent communication skills, the ability to translate between business needs and technical implementations, and a firm understanding of satellite ground systems.  The successful candidate will act as an integral part of the team to ensure the goal of delivering quality products and services that meet and exceed expectations.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with the customer and team members to ensure to ensure delivery of our corporate promise and overall successful mission support
  • Provide systems and software engineering support to translate the business needs of the operations team to the technical implementation of the ground system
  • Analyze existing technical specifications and documents to develop a thorough understanding of the ground system and support the customer in the planning for the transition for test to operations to handover and long-term sustainment of the ground system
  • Identify unknown risks and develop risk mitigation plans
  • Manage effective communications between customer, team, peers, and senior management through presentations, discussions, and status reports
  • Participate in corporate initiatives and business development, opportunity capture, and/or proposal generation efforts
  • Grow and leverage professional network within the aerospace and government contracting industry

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in an aerospace engineering related field
  • Experience with satellite ground systems
  • Experience with NASA and NASA/GSFC engineering and technical processes
  • U.S citizenship
