a.i. solutions is seeking a driven individual with quality and mission assurance experience who is resilient in nature when working towards completion of tasks. They will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Quality, Safety and Mission Assurance Directorate providing MDA Assurance support to the Ballistic Missile Defense System Assurance Integration organization. Responsibilities for this position will also involve on-site activities at supplier or sub-supplier facilities to provide insight into executing MDA Assurance policies and requirements. The individual will understand the importance of providing timely support to all tasks and will be a motivated individual experienced in taking initiative to identify and solve problems. The successful candidate will act as an integral part of the team to ensure the goal of delivering quality products and services that meet and exceed customer expectations.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide monitoring and oversight of printed circuit card manufacturing and production activities
  • Review Government requirements documents and supplier hardware technical requirements for assurance compliance and assist with addressing issues
  • Review of manufacturing planning, monitoring workmanship, performing FOD/ESD/tool control walkthroughs, support Material Review Boards, monitor and track supplier issues, and monitor hardware and people safety
  • Support engineering reviews, technical interchange meetings, monitor configuration management, monitor testing and qualification activities, support Failure Review Boards, support change control boards, and monitor software control
  • Review and assess build plans compared to actual build and test results
  • Interface with the local Defense Contract Management Agency, MDA program engineering, MDA quality technical experts, and supplier engineering, manufacturing, quality and senior management
  • Perform facility assessments, MDA evaluations, mission focused audits, manufacturing assessments and technical and mission assurance reviews identifying issues, concerns, risks and proposed resolutions
  • Perform on-site evaluation, review, survey, facility assessment and inspection of supplier management and work activities, operations, documentation, software and metrics
  • Develop and propose solutions to government customers to resolve supplier issues occurring during fabrication, assembly, test, handling or shipping which affect system integrity
  • Implement solutions and corrective actions with contractor suppliers
  • Monitor contractor supplier progress in implementation and execution of developed solutions
  • Develop and brief charts to Senior Managers regarding supplier issues and resolutions including issues identified, recognized risks, proposed solutions, and supplier progress
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills to foster efficient workflow across multiple parties including: government customers, technical staff, and other contractors
  • Travel to manufacturing facilities approximately 3-4 times a year to support various review and audit activities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in the production and manufacturing of printed circuit cards
  • Experience in hardware development, production, test, and evaluation
  • Experience with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards and processes
  • Currently possess a DOD secret security clearance
