Title Support Engineer/Mobile Range Flight

a.i. solutions is looking for a highly-motivated Mobile Range Flight (MRF) Support Engineer to lead in the implementation and optimization of the Mobile Range Flight, headquartered at Kirtland AFB and temporarily deployed to locations worldwide. This includes oversight and integration support of existing hardware, software, network configuration, and new system initiatives. The position requires the ability to provide high level summary of results and draw conclusions based on interpretation of data. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to embrace the a.i. solutions mission of always meeting customer requirements and usually exceeding their expectations.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Consults with management, customers, and external contractors regarding the project schedule, resources, plans, designs, and implementations
  • Installs software maintenance releases or hardware upgrades including the oversight of the installation process and test procedures to diagnose and resolve MRF performance issues
  • Identifies areas requiring improvement and approve/implement upgrades and hardware or software engineering change orders
  • Ensures system performance goals are met and the integrity of design is maintained
  • Provides feedback and customer support regarding MRF performance problems and suggests solutions which may require product exchanges or more complex problem solving
  • Prepares and conducts special reports and presents them to the customer
  • Plans, prepares and conducts on-the-job training

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineer or related discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant space systems C2 experience
  • Experience with Telecommunications Satellite Ground Systems including Gateways, Teleports, Network & Satellite Operation facilities and related technologies
  • Currently possess an active DOD Top Secret/SCI security clearance
